FAQs

What should I expect?

Each session will be specifically catered to your individual needs and goals. Treatment will be interactive and adaptive to the style of healing that is most conducive and effective for you.

If I tell you my deepest secrets will everyone know what we talk about?

Our agency prides itself on producing a safe space for each client we service. This safe space promotes an environment of sharing while reassuring our clients that your information is protected in a HIPAA-compliant and most confidential manner.

I have a very strong religious background and foundation. Can I have faith and a therapist?

Religion and therapy are not mutually exclusive. Instead, they can actually coincide with each other to help produce an even stronger outcome. Having a therapist does not mean that you do not have faith. Therapy is merely the vehicle your faith uses to help you reach your intended destination.

Does having a therapist mean that I am “crazy” or weak?

Society has given therapy such a disheartening reputation. Historically, the world has stigmatized and unfairly labeled people who seek help for life’s struggles. Speaking to a professional about your thoughts and fears does not make you “crazy” or weak. It is instead a sign of your strength and determination.

Why should I try therapy?

Mental health is just as important as physical health. If you had a medical condition such as congestive heart failure, wouldn’t you seek medical treatment? It is the same concept. Mental health plays such a fundamental role in your life, your happiness, and your overall health.

How long does counseling last?

Therapy does not operate by the “one size fits all” concept. Each person is different. Our agency strongly believes and promotes moving at our clients’ pace. Therefore, your length of service is determined by factors such as your level of commitment and dedication to your healing, circumstances related to your reason for seeking treatment, and additional triggers or life experiences that may arise during the process of treatment. Treatment is very solution-focused, meaning we will make adaptations and accommodations throughout the treatment process to help you achieve your goals in a feasible and realistic time frame.
